As the world deals with attempts to deliver aid to Gaza, the Strip's residents are preparing for the inauguration of a new luxury hotel.

The hotel, called Moby Dick, will be inaugurated in the coming days, and Gazans hope it attracts not just Hamas men but also Western tourists. If they do arrive, they'll be able to enjoy luxurious banquet halls made of marble and stone, first-class restaurants and a shining swimming pool.

In the meantime, the hotel staff refuses to disclose rates or let the press take pictures of the rooms.

The inauguration of the new hotel is another sign of the economic recovery in the Strip. Despite campaigns calling on Israel to lift its blockade on Gaza, even Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniyeh admits that things are going well.

"We have emerged from the siege stage and are now at the development and construction stage," he said. "We have no problem obtaining cement, iron and other construction materials. The storehouses in Gaza are full – we received everything through the tunnels."

Indeed, this summer marks the start of a new fashion in Gaza: Renting out rooms on the beach. Such a room will cost a family about NIS 1,400 (about $405) a day, and the demand is high.

A resort village with swimming pools and restaurants opened in Rafah several weeks ago, and another restaurant is planned off the city's coast.

As opposed to Hamas in Gaza, which likely receives a lot of money from Iran and other sources in the Arab world, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' government in the West Bank is finding it difficult to make ends meet and has only been able to pay PA workers half their wages this month.

Erdogan: “There is no state named Cyprus; we will never accept as our interlocutor the Greek Cypriot President

“Turkish daily Star Kibris (20.07.11) covers the visit of Recep Tayip Erdogan, Turkey’s Prime Minister to the occupied area of Cyprus. [Erdogan is accompanied by his wife Emine and daughter Sumeyye Erdogan, the assistant Prime Minister Besir Atalay, Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, EU Minister Egemen Bagis and the General Secretary of Turkey's Presidency Mustafa Isen.]

Erdogan upon his arrival at illegal Tymbou airport addressed the gathered crowd saying that a state named Cyprus does not exist, but there is “the Greek Cypriot administration and the TRNC”.

Erdogan continued his speech saying, inter alia: “We sat and discussed, but they [Greek Cypriots] did not stay loyal to this. We remained. You [Turkish Cypriots] remained loyal, 65% said yes. But the south said 75% no [in the Annan Plan referendum]. There is no such a structure in the EU acquis communautaire. They did not keep their word but you did and we are right”.

He addressed the Turkish Cypriots as brothers which should not forget that they are one, they are united, and they are one heart. He also said that investments and the improvement of infrastructures in “TRNC” will continue and added that construction of double-lane roads in every part of “north Cyprus” will raise the level of transportation. He also referred to Anamur dam which is scheduled to transfer water to Cyprus via an underwater pipe, and said that upon its completion “north Cyprus” will never face water shortages.

Referring to the electricity infrastructure, he said that there are no longer any problems and that the Turkish Cypriots give a “humanitarian lesson” to the Greek Cypriots. He repeated that he as Prime Minister, his fellow Ministers, his Government and his nation love the Turkish Cypriots and that their unity and solidarity are their strength.

Similar were his statements after the meeting he had with the Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu. “We will continue with the same determination, hand by hand Motherland daughter-land, in the same path.[...] The marginal groups cannot destroy our union and solidarity, no one should worry. With every passing day, north Cyprus will progress forward. With infrastructures, superstructures, political strength, you should not worry, it [north Cyprus] will take its place in the future”.

Moreover, during the joint press conference after the meeting, Erdogan said: “As the 61st Government of the Republic of Turkey, with our first visit being in TRNC, in any case we manifest what we want to say. From this point on nothing will change in the [negotiation] process. This must thus be known.

And see, they have not yet revealed the report -May 2004- that Annan prepared. This is thought provoking. Why they don’t disclose it? What is the reason? This is also interesting. Despite all this, whether it is Mr Talat or Mr Eroglu they have patiently continued the process.

We wish that in these 19 meetings the expected end will be reached. This is Turkey’s desire as a guarantor country. And we expect the same desire from Greece. We even expect the same from England, being a guarantor country. This we must put forward very clear. No one should expect from us to have the President of the Greek Cypriot administration as our interlocutor. We will never sit on the table having them as our interlocutor.”

NASA Study: Global Warming Alarmists Wrong

NASA has released a new study that may prove global-warming alarmists have been wrong all along. Data from NASA's Terra satellite covering the period 2000 through 2011 shows that when the earth's climate heats up, the atmosphere appears to be better able to channel the heat to outer space. The satellite data call into question the computer models favored by global warming believers and may put to rest controversy over the discrepancy between the computer models and actual meteorological readings.Co-author of the study, Dr. Roy Spencer of the University of Alabama's Earth System Science Center, said in a press release, "The satellite observations suggest there is much more energy lost to space during and after warming than the climate models show. There is a huge discrepancy between the data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans."In an Op-Ed in Forbes, senior fellow for environment policy at The Heartland Institute James M. Taylor, said, "In short, the central premise of alarmist global warming theory is that carbon dioxide emissions should be directly and indirectly trapping a certain amount of heat in the earth's atmosphere and preventing it from escaping into space. "Real-world measurements, however, show far less heat is being trapped in the earth's atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space that the alarmist computer models predict." The new research further shows that not only is more energy released to space than had been theorized, but also that the energy is released at an earlier point in a cycle of warming than previously documented. In fact, the new data reveal, energy is discharged beginning at a point about three months before a cycle peaks. "At the peak," Spencer said, "satellites show energy being lost while climate models show energy still being gained." The research was published in the journal Remote Sensing.

UN reveals its master plan for destruction of global economy

Former US secretary to the United Nations John Bolton once famously said: “The [UN] Secretariat building in New York has 38 stories. If it lost ten stories it wouldn’t make a bit of difference.” (H/T Milo)

But I’d say Bolton was being too modest in his aspirations. Far too modest. I’d suggest that if we lost all 38 stories the benefits to mankind would be almost incalculable. Right now, indeed, it’s likely that the United Nations poses a far greater threat to Western Civilisation and the world’s economic future than Al Qaeda does. Have a glance at its latest report World Economic And Social Survey 2011 – and you’ll see what I mean.

The report argues that over the next 40 years our governments must spend an annual minimum of $1.9 trillion – that’s an eyewatering $76 trillion – steering the global economy onto the path of “green growth.”

But “Green growth” – as the report more or less acknowledges – is an oxymoron. That’s why, even though it was supervised by an alleged economist, Dutchman Rob Vos, the report is not at all ashamed to advocate limiting economic growth through rationing, punitive taxation and other forms of government intervention. Why? To combat “Climate Change”, of course.

Here’s the kicker:

“Hence, if, for instance, emission reduction targets cannot be met through accelerated technological progress in energy efficiency and renewable energy generation, it may be necessary to impose caps on energy consumption itself in order to meet climate change mitigation in a timely manner. Proposals to put limits on economic growth can be viewed in this context.” (P.19)

And if shaving off $1.9 trillion from the world economy each year (that’s 3 per cent of the world gross product in 2010) results in further economic stagnation and a lower standard of living for our children and grandchildren, well what the hell. As the report primly tells us, none of us actually needs to earn more than $10,000 a year. Anything more is greedy:

“For example, taking life expectancy as an objective measure of the quality of life, it can be seen that life expectancy does not increase much beyond a per capita income of about $10,000. Similarly…cross-country evidence suggests that there are no significant additional gains in human development (as measured by the human development index) beyond the energy-use level of about 110 gigajoules (GJ) (or two tons of oil equivalent (toe) per capita.”

Are they seriously suggesting that developed economies should ration their people’s energy use? They surely are:

“The Survey estimates that the emissions cap would be equivalent to primary energy consumer consumption of 70 gigajoules per capita per year, which means that the average European would have to cut his or her energy consumption by about half and the average resident of the US by about three quarters.”

So, instead of being able to enjoy a hot shower every day all you Americans, you’ll now confine your warm ablutions to weekends only. Same goes for air-con in summer. And heating in winter. Welcome to the New Green World Order.

What’s amazing about this stuff – and believe me, there’s plenty more where this came from – is the unblushing shamelessness with which it advocates this economic insanity. Here is the world’s most powerful intergovernmental institution essentially arguing for the destruction of the global economy, enforced rationing, Marxist wealth redistribution, greater regulation, the erosion of property rights and global governance by a new world order of technocrats and bureacrats. And being so upfront about it they actually issue press releases, telling us what they’re planning to do and encouraging us to write about it.

This is the thing that amazed while I was researching my book Watermelons. If the global green movement is any kind of conspiracy, then it’s a conspiracy in plain sight. The people in power who are advancing its agenda – be it President Obama’s house eco-activists John Holdren and Carol Browner, Green MP Caroline Lucas, and all those faceless apparatchiks at the UN and the EU – make absolutely no bones about what it is that they want to do to save the world from the peril of “Climate Change”: the end of Industrial Civilisation.

Which might be just about understandable if the crisis we were facing were so great that only the most extreme measures would suffice. But the crisis they describe is non-existent. As I argue in the second half of my book, economic growth and true environmentalism – as opposed to the sick, bastardised, warped, hair-shirt perversion of it currently being dumped on us by the Greenies – go hand in hand.

As economies grow richer, so they have more money to set aside for cleaner rivers, fresher air, as well as to invest in R & D projects for ever more eco-friendly forms of energy. It’s no coincidence that quite the worst environmental damage in the last century was done in those countries behind the Iron Curtain. Free market economies tend naturally to be cleaner and healthier because clean and healthy is what people choose anyway if they can afford it. They don’t need government to step in and take their money in order to spend it inefficiently trying to achieve something which would have happened quite naturally anyway.

What this ludicrous UN report is advocating is the exact opposite of what the world needs if it is to become genuinely greener. All those people in the developing world, if they’re to live healthier, less environmentally damaging lives the very last thing they need is hand-outs from richer economies. What they need is property rights and free trade and the chance to grow their economy to the point where – cf the Kuznets Curve – they can afford the luxury of having to breed fewer children and to heat and light their homes without having to chop down the nearest trees. What they also need for us in the rich West to have thriving economies in order that we can import more of their produce.

Rationing and limits to growth are not the answer. The UN is a menace and we listen to its eco-fascist ravings at our peril.

NURSES TOLD TO TURN MUSLIMS’ BEDS TO MECCA

OVERWORKED nurses have been ordered to stop all medical work five times every day to move Muslim patients’ beds so they face towards Mecca.

The lengthy procedure, which also includes providing fresh bathing water, is creating turmoil among overstretched staff on bustling NHS wards.

But despite the havoc, Mid- Yorkshire NHS Trust says the rule must be instigated whenever possible to ensure Muslim patients have “a more comfortable stay in hospital”.

And a taxpayer-funded training programme for several hundred hospital staff has begun to ensure that all are familiar with the workings of the Muslim faith.

The scheme is initially being run at Dewsbury and District Hospital, West Yorkshire, but is set to be introduced at other hospitals in the new year.

It comes on the back of the introduction in some NHS hospitals last year of Burka-style gowns for Muslim patients who did not wish medical staff to see their face while operating or caring for them.

Last night critics slammed the procedure and claimed the NHS would be better off investing its resources in tackling killer superbugs such as C.diff and MRSA.

One experienced nurse working at Dewsbury said: “It would be easier to create Muslim-only wards with every bed facing Mecca than have to deal with this.

“Some people might think it is not that big a deal, but we have a huge Muslim population in Dewsbury and if we are having to turn dozens of beds to face Mecca five times a day, plus provide running water for them to wash before and after prayers, it is bound to impact on the essential medical service we are supposed to be providing.

“Although the beds are designed to be moved, the bays are not really suitable for having loads of beds moved around to face a different direction, and despite our best efforts it does cause disruption for non-Muslim patients.”

The changes have been instigated by Dewsbury and District Hospital’s chief matron, Catherine Briggs, after she held a series of consultation meetings with local Asian GPs, ethnic minority patients groups and Muslim chaplain Ilyas Dalal to find out what staff could do to further improve Muslim patients’ experience of the NHS.

In accordance with the rules of Islam, Muslims are required to pray five times a day. The religion dictates they must wash themselves in running water prior to prayer and must be facing in the direction of Mecca while praying. Mecca, in Saudi Arabia, is revered as the birthplace of the prophet Mohammed, who was born around 570AD.

Turning beds so they face towards Mecca was a key proposal put forward during the hospital meetings, along with suggestions that Muslim women should only be seen by female doctors.

Although the Trust, which also oversees hospitals in Wakefield and Pontefract, could not guarantee women-only doctors, they agreed that “wherever possible” specific patient requests would be carried out.

Mrs Briggs said: “Some of our former Muslim patients suggested that a more informed understanding of the Islamic cultures would help staff to further improve their service.”

Last night Conservative MP David Davies said: “Hospitals should be concentrating on stopping the spread of infections than kow-towing to the politically correct brigade.

“If the need for fresh running water is so great then perhaps family members could be on hand to assist the already overworked medical staff.”

Muslim’s 16 Point Plan on Trying to Silence us by Using the Term “Islamophobia”

In attempt to scare off those who speak the truth about Islam, Muslims and their supporters continually toss out the term “Islamophobia”. The other day a Muslim posted a link to the plan on my site, and I am not exactly sure why he or she did it. Either way it is all layed on the website of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago. One of their goals is to try and equate the term “Islamophobia”, with a hate crime. There are numerous points in their plan that we need to counter.

There are obviously many lies in this list, but I will not bother to refute them all, we need the focus to stay on the actions we must take.

16 Ways You can Fight Cartoons & Islamophobia

1. Remember the Prophet. The Prophet was subject to horrible insults and hate crimes in his lifetime. He remained steadfast, patient and tolerant in the face of this Islamophobia. We must model this same behavior.

Good and Evil deeds are not alike. Requite evil with good, and he who is your enemy will become your dearest friend. But none will attain this save those who endure with fortitude and are greatly favored by God. (Quran 41: 34-35)

Pray that God guides these people who mock His messenger.

2. Keep sending Salam and Durood to the Prophet, which is the main way Muslim demonstrate our love for the Prophet.

3. Make protest more honorable since it is for the love of the Prophet. Perhaps a public recitation of the Quran either voiced or silent will be more powerful and worthy of the Prophet.

4. Do not engage in forms protest that are condemned in Islam. This includes burning flags or other symbols that people hold in esteem or insulting other religious groups. Unfortunately, some Iranian newspapers have commissioned the drawing of anti-Semitic cartoons in protest of the offensive Danish ones. This is a disgusting form of retaliation that deserves absolute condemnation. Not only does this contradict Islamic rules of respect for others, it will neither help fight Islamophobia, nor elicit any understanding about why Muslims are upset about the Danish cartoons.

5. Note that incidents of Islamophobia are not isolated. Whether it’s depicting the Prophet as a terrorist, disrespecting the Quran, torturing prisoners, bombing civilians or occupying Muslim lands, these are all signs of Islamophobia.

6. Also note that not all media or all non-Muslims support this type of insulting behavior. Many have been at the forefront of condemning torture, bombing and occupation.

7. Equate racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. They all are fruits of the same tree of hate.

Ask them what race Islam is, and let them know Jews were no threat back in the 40s, but there is a a worldwide Sharia movement happening. So the comparison is not valid.

8. Start using the word Islamophobia to describe any kind of hate crime or speech against Islam and Muslims. Doing this will make the term uniform and eventually, an accepted part of the English language the way the term “anti-Semitism” is.

Number 8 clearly shows they just do not want any criticism of Islam. This is the main reason we must get this list to our local representatives. (Contact information will be provided below.)

9. If you are involved in interfaith work, bring up the topic of Islamophobia at your meetings. Stress the urgency and need for people of all faiths to help address and condemn it and all other forms of intolerance publicly. If possible, get the organization to issue a public statement condemning Islamophobia in general, as well as in response to specific incidents like those mentioned above.

Any of us that attend religious functions should print this plan up, and hand it out at our local houses of worship.

10. Sponsor reports on Islamophobia. Unless more documentation and yearly opinion surveys are conducted, people will continue to dismiss Islamophobia as a reality. So far, the UK is the only country which has officially commissioned a report on Islamophobia. The word has yet to become a part of American media.

11. Report any and every incident of Islamophobia you, your family or friends encounter. The FBI collects hate crime statistics. Report Islamophobia to them at your local FBI office. File a report with the Council on American-Islamic Relations at http://www.cair-net.org/ireport/. They issue an annual report on Muslim civil rights in the US. Also report the crime to your local police office.

Can it get any clearer than the above statement? When it comes to Islam, they want to make free speech a hate crime.

12. If it’s an election year, make sure your local Congressman or Congresswoman who relies on your vote is aware of Islamophobia. Organize a delegation of Muslims in your constituency if you can and arrange to make a presentation on the topic, as well as a list of clear things you would like your Congressman or Congresswoman to do about Islamophobia if they want your vote.

We must make sure our local politicians know that Muslims are out to end our freedom of speech, in regards to Islam.

13. For every incident of Islamophobia, write a letter to the editor and your local civil rights organization about it.

We need to take the time to write letters to editors of online papers, that use the term “Islamophobia” in their support of Islam. They probably have no idea how far Muslims want to take this.

14. Organize a program at your local mosque or community center about the problem of Islamophobia today. Hold a brainstorming session as part of the program as well to discuss how to solve this problem.

15. Thank those who speak out or act against Islamophobia. For instance, we should thank the US State Department for condemning the publishing of the offensive cartoons in Denmark.

16. Make Dua that Allah guides those who hold Islamophobic views and practice Islamophobia. The Prophet made Dua for the Quraysh, asking for them to be guided because they were ignorant of what they were doing by committing Islamophobic acts and saying wrong things against Islam and the Prophet.

I figured that I would add some history, on the origin of the word “Islamophobia”.

Islamophobia: The word was created to silence all critics of Islam and the actions that occur under Islam. The word is a contraction to the meaning of the word phobia, as non-Muslims have every right to fear an Islamic takeover.

The notion of “Islamophobia” emerged from the Islamic Republic of Iran following the revolution in 1979. According to Caroline Fourest and Fiammetta Venner, two French journalists who have written extensively on the subject, the Iranian mullahs introduced the idea of a phobia to Islam as a response to international criticism of such practices as the forcing of women to wear headscarves, and persecution of homosexuals and other violators of “Islamic morality”.

Germany to be conquered by Islam

Germany's population is declining, and the losses are replenished by immigrants, largely Muslim. The country has already addressed the topic of introducing regimental mullahs in the German Army. There are some ethnic Turks among the leading politicians of Germany.Federal Statistical Office of Germany has released a regular data on changes in the population size. It was discovered that in 2010 Germany lost 51 thousand people. In the past couple of years the decline was even more pronounced. The statistics was corrected by reducing the number of those leaving the country for permanent residence and immigrants. There were 798,000 of the latter, 77 thousand more than in 2009. A significant proportion of new arrivals are from Muslim countries.

Meanwhile, representatives of Islamic associations in Germany once again reminded of themselves by a radical proposal to introduce the position of regimental mullahs in the country's army. "It would be of great importance for the integration process," considers the head of the Central Council of Muslims of Germany Ayman Maziek. According to him, the army today has 90 Catholic and Protestant chaplains, but there are no mullahs yet.According to the official data, there are approximately 1,200 Muslims in Bundeswehr, but Islamic groups say that this number is significantly understated. They warn that in the future the number of Muslims in the ranks of the German Army will only grow, and in such circumstances, the regimental mullahs may be indispensable to the commanders in settling any conflicts between members of different confessions.

So far the Bundeswehr commanders are very skeptical about this idea. In the German contingent in Afghanistan the number of Muslims is very small. In addition, the Bundeswehr would have to have contact with an organization a mullah is representing. Chaplains are members of the Roman Catholic Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Muslims do not have a similar organization.All the evidence indicates that the number of Muslim soldiers in the Bundeswehr will continue to grow - as in any other sphere. Today, the country has 4.3 million Muslims (more than five percent of the population). Nearly two-thirds of Germany's Muslims is made up by the Turks. Others are mainly Kurds, people from Arab countries, Bosnian Muslims and Albanians. Most of them are from the lower social strata, and the service in the Bundeswehr is a lucky ticket for them.

According to local pollsters, approximately 45 percent of them have German passports, but only 25 percent would like to be fully integrated into the community. In this case, the Bundeswehr has something to think about. Would Muslims want to go into the army and defend this country if it does not have regimental mullahs? Will they even shed blood for Germany if they do not consider themselves Germans? Perhaps in some time it will be difficult to manage without the mullahs. Maybe they will be able to "pull" the Muslims into the ranks of the Bundeswehr. Yet, can such an army be regarded as German?

The role of Muslims increases not only in the army, but in other areas as well - business, culture, politics and sport. One of the leading German film directors is Fatih Akin, singer Tarkan is another outstanding representative of German-Turkish culture. Turkish Mesut Ozil and Tunisian Sami Hedira are successfully playing for the national football team. Many German-Turkish players choose the national team of their ethnic homeland.

Abundance of Turks and Muslims did not spare the German policy. An ethnic Turk Cem Ozdemir is the co-chairman of the "green" party. Bundestag deputy from the Social Democrats Akgun Leila became famous for calling to ban headscarves in public places. Turk Aigul Ozkan decided to build her career in the ranks of the Christian Democratic Union. Last year, she even became the Minister for Social Policy and Integration of Lower Saxony land and immediately proposed to remove the image of crucifixion from the schools. At the same time she criticized head scarves.

Apparently, this is not the limit. Recently, during a visit to Germany, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged his tribesmen living in Germany to remain the Turks in the first place, and suggested that the authorities of Germany open schools with instruction in the Turkish language. It looked like a fairly frank and provocative intervention in the affairs of Germany, angrily rejected by Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle. However, the question arises whether the country would be able to avoid "Turkification" and "Muslimifacation" of the German education system, army, and then the politics.Let's take a look at the demographics. If among the ethnic Germans people of retirement age make up for a quarter of the population, among the Turks they account only for five percent. Only a quarter of Germans are young people aged 14 to 29, while among the Turks there are 50 percent of those. Other Muslims have even higher birth rate than the Turks, and the proportion of young people among them is even higher. Immigration has not stopped. Given the developments in North Africa, Germany can expect Egyptians, Libyans and Tunisians - also people of young age.

Incidentally, the German Turks and devout Muslims are not identical concepts. All abovementioned people of politics, culture, show business and sports are an example of successful integration into the German society. A huge percentage of Turkish women in Germany are not wearing hijab, almost a third of Turks do not go to the mosque. However, there are others who continue to live under sharia law. Among those from the Arab countries the percentage of people who accepted the German way of life is even lower.

The growing number of Muslims in the country (and specifically the Turks) makes the locals be increasingly more hostile towards them. A group of experts with the Council of Europe headed by former Foreign Minister of Germany Joschka Fischer recently conducted a study and found that the number of people who are afraid of Muslims is growing. "Many Europeans have the belief that Islam is a radical, militant religion, incompatible with the European values," the report says.

A separate study was conducted 18 months ago by experts of the sociological institute Dimap specifically in Germany. Thirty-six percent of Germans expressed serious concern over the expansion of Islam, and 39 percent - mild concern. The fears are largely exaggerated, but these figures eloquently show that the problem exists. Strictly speaking, its existence was acknowledged by Chancellor Angela Merkel herself.

The solution of the problem is a complex issue. If everything continues as it stands today, Germany will gradually be transformed into half-Islamic or half-Turkish state, and the Bundeswehr can be considered the German army with a stretch. Should they expel the Muslims from the country? It is fraught with a discontent of the huge community and anger of the human rights defenders. Should they leave things as they are? Then there is the risk of increasing the capacity of the electoral right-wing or even outright Nazis. In the long term there may be a collision on the ethnic and religious grounds.What should Germany do to save its face and at the same not to anger the Turks? There are no simple solutions to the problem. It seems that the authorities of Germany know it. However, they are not succeeding, and the issue in the meantime is getting worse.

The United Nations Bans Opposition to Its Global Tax Design Meeting

When United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced his plan "to fundamentally transform the global economy — based on low-carbon, clean energy resources," few realized he was calling for a new global tax to be designed without public scrutiny, but that is exactly what he meant. To thwart it, the UN's flawed process and its tax design scheme must be exposed.
The UN's one nation, one vote system has been used since its founding to render the U.S. impotent, regardless of the fact that we are its major financial donor. It is credulous to think that UN reforms could fix its flawed process. Banning the press and global tax opponents from its July 13-14 tax design meeting in Tokyo, Japan, for example, is anathema to a democratic process, but the UN is not a democracy. Rather, its unelected bureaucrats use a "collaborative decision-making process" to reach "consensus" with no debate or expressed opposition. The UN calls it "global governance" and Ban Ki-moon describes how it works: "While we are all in the same boat, not all have a say in how to steer it."

The tax saga began in earnest last December in Cancun, Mexico when the UN framework Convention on Climate Change, a treaty ratified by the U.S. Senate in 1992, created a Transitional Committee charged with designing a new Green Climate Fund. The Committee is to design the Fund to amass a minimum of $100 billion a year, which is to be approved at the next major meeting of the UNFCCC in Durban, South Africa this December.

The Committee consists of representatives from 40 nations, including the U.S., who are considering taxes on carbon, international aviation and shipping, international financial transactions and a wire tax for producing electricity. The UN is also pushing for removal of fossil fuel subsidies and redirecting them to its international green agenda, which would cause the U.S. to be even more dependent on foreign oil.

The purpose of the Fund is to enable the UN to implement its global blueprint for sustainable development called Agenda 21. This green agenda is the new Marxism that requires government ensured economic equity and environmental neutrality. Agenda 21 is not a treaty, but a plan of action produced by the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In the U.S., federal and state legislatures were bypassed when then-President Clinton signed an executive order to create the President's Council on Sustainable Development to implement Agenda 21. Federal grants continue to flow to local governments to carry out the UN's green agenda across America.

Granting the UN the right to tax would be like giving it a blank check for future use. Taxpayers can be assured of perpetual demand because it has no idea what it will cost to "go green." Two years ago, it estimated the cost at $600 billion annually for the next decade, but today its estimate is at least $1.9 trillion annually for the next 40 years or $76 trillion!

Political manipulation of climate change is key to global taxation and the fundamental transformation of the global economy. Since the 1997 UNFCCC meeting in Kyoto, Japan, I have watched the UN agitate class warfare to create a demand for a global tax to "green" third world economies.

At the first tax design meeting in Mexico City last April 28-29, I was told that approval for my attendance was a "fluke" and that I should not have been credentialed to attend. Nonetheless before departing Mexico, I was assured that I would be invited to follow-up meetings.

When I did not receive an emailed invitation, I asked a U.S. Congressman to intercede. His chief of staff called the UNFCCC in Bonn, Germany and was told the only entry was through one of the UN's nine "constituency focal points," so I next contacted them. Not even the U.S. Departments of State or Treasury could penetrate the UN's bureaucratic morass.

Typically I attend UN meetings with press credentials, but because the press was banned from the Committee meeting, I petitioned the UN's women and gender constituency. They initially told me they had space, then withdrew their invitation stating, "I find it quite audacious [for you] to try to go on our ticket, given the positions you have." Eagle Forum indeed opposes a global tax and the UN's radical feminist positions that would not even be discussed at the tax design meeting.

The UN's tax scheme must be derailed because it is only the opening salvo in an all-out war on the U.S. economy and national sovereignty. The U.S. Congress should cut ALL funding to the UN until it backs away from its global tax scheme!

A draft report from the Cabinet Office shows that ministers wanted to ‘maximise the contribution’ of migrants to their ‘social objectives’.

The number of foreigners allowed in the UK increased by as much as 50 per cent in the wake of the report, written in 2000.

Mr Neather said he helped to write the 2000 report which outlined a strategy to ‘open up the UK to mass migration’.

The document was not published in its original format over fears of an adverse public reaction. Instead it was released a year later as a research document on the economic benefits of migration.

THE UNEDITED DOCUMENT

The highlighted text below was contained in the original draft of the document drawn up in 2000 for a discussion on immigration policy - but deleted from the version published in 2001.

1) The emerging consensus, in both the UK and the rest of the EU, is that we need a new analytical framework for thinking about migration policy if we are to maximise the contribution of migration to the Government's economic and social objectives.2) Indeed, over the medium to longer term, migration pressures will intensify in Europe as a result of demographic changes. But this should not be viewed as a negative - to the extent that migration is driven by market forces, it is likely to be economically beneficial. On the other hand, trying to halt of reverse market-driven migration will be very difficult (perhaps impossible) and economically damaging.3) Chapter 4, focusing on the Government's aim to regulate migration to the UK in the interests of social stability and economic growth, argues that it is clearly correct that the Government has both economic and social objectives for migration policy.4) The more general social impact of migration is very difficult to assess. Benefits include a widening of consumer choice and significant cultural contributions. These in turn feed into wider economic benefits.5) In practice, entry controls can contribute to social exclusion, and there are a number of areas where policy could further enhance migrants' economic and social contribution in line with the Government's overall objectives.6) It is clear that migration policy has both social and economic impacts and should be designed to contribute to the government's overall objectives on both counts. The current position is a considerable advance on the previously existing situation, when the aim of immigration policy was, or appeared to be, to reduce primary immigration to the 'irreducible minimum' - an objective with no economic or social justification.

Mr Neather’s claims last October were denied by ministers, including Justice Secretary Jack Straw, who said they were nonsense.

A draft of the original Cabinet Office report has now been published following a freedom of information request by Migrationwatch.

It contains six references to social policy, all of which were removed from the later, published version.

One deleted paragraph said a framework was needed to ‘maximise the contribution of migration to the Government’s social and economic objectives’.

Another says that migration pressures will intensify because of demographic changes across Europe but that this ‘should not be viewed as a negative’.

It states: ‘The entry control system is not closely related to the stated policy objectives.

'This is particularly true in the social area, where in the past the implicit assumption has largely been that keeping people out promotes stability.’

Also cut out was a statement that ‘in practice, entry controls can contribute to social exclusion’.

Damian Green, Tory immigration spokesman, said: ‘This is a very significant finding because it would mean that Labour’s biggest long term effect on British society wasbased on a completely secret policy.

‘This shows Labour’s open-door immigration policy was deliberate and ministers should apologise.’

Mr Neather’s claims were made in a column for the London Evening Standard. He said Labour’s relaxation of immigration controls was a deliberate attempt to engineer a ‘truly multicultural’ country and plug gaps in the jobs market.

He remembered ‘coming away from some discussions with the clear sense that the policy was intended – even if this wasn’t its main purpose – to rub the Right’s nose in diversity’.

Whitehall research shows that the number of foreigners arriving in the UK rose from 370,000 in 2001 to 510,000 in 2006.

The figures for net foreign immigration– the number of non-British citizens arriving, less the number leaving – are even more dramatic.

In 2001, this figure stood at 221,000 but by 2007 it had risen as high as 333,000 – up 50 per cent.

The number fell to 250,000 in 2008 mainly because of a decline in arrivals from Eastern Europe.

It had already emerged that the Cabinet Office report was censored to remove details of possible links between immigration and organised crime, street fights and begging.

One of the sections missing from the final report said: ‘There is emerging evidence that the circumstances in which asylum seekers are living is leading to criminal offences, including fights and begging.’

A second section warned: ‘Migration has opened up new opportunities for organised crime.’

Last night, immigration minister Phil Woolas said there was ‘no open door policy on migration’.

SHARIA LAW HITS THE UK

HARDCORE Islamists have vowed to ban booze and mixing between the sexes in new Sharia law enforcement zones across the UK.

The move will see specific areas flooded with thousands of stickers saying "no gambling", "no music or concerts", "no porn or prostitution" and "no drugs or smoking".

The posters declare: "You are entering a Sharia controlled zone - Islamic rules enforced."

The radicals will kick off their controlled zones in the London borough of Waltham Forest later this month.

They also claim their hardline rules will be policed by thousands of "Sharia cops" on the streets.

Preacher Anjem Choudary has called the scheme an alternative to government attempts to combat violent extremism under the Prevent strategy.

Last night the former al-Muhajiroun and Islam4UK leader warned: "The Prevent strategy introduced by Theresa May is going to be countered in the next couple of weeks beginning in Waltham Forest where there will be a Sharia controlled zone sticker campaign.

"This will mean this is an area where the Muslim community will not tolerate drugs, alcohol, pornography, gambling, usury, free mixing between the sexes - the fruits if you like of Western civilisation.

"This will be a very heavy leafleting campaign aimed at both the Muslim and non-Muslim community in terms of what the Sharia means economically, socially and politically.

"Waltham Forest, including Walthamstow and Leyton, will also be targeted with a march.

"We want to run the area as a Sharia controlled zone and really to put the seeds down for an Islamic Emirate in the long term.

"We want to create an area where Muslims can live together, make transactions with each other, and interact between themselves rather than with the wider community."

The ex-lawyer added: "There are 25 areas around the country which the Government has earmarked as areas where violent extremism is a problem.

"We are going to go to all these same areas and implement our own Sharia controlled zones.

"This is the best way for dealing with drunkenness and loutishness, prostitution and the sort of thug life attitude you get in British cities.

"We live among the non-Muslims but we have to distinguish ourselves from them."

In May we told how Choudary had announced plans to set up teams of Islamic "Guardian Angels" to help implement Sharia law across the UK. He reckoned the "Sharia cops" would do a better job of policing Muslim areas than traditional officers.

Choudary said: "We now have hundreds if not thousands of people up and down the country willing to go out and patrol the streets for us and a print run of between 10,000 and 50,000 stickers ready for distribution."

Last night Jamaal Uddin, 17, was pictured putting up Sharia controlled zone stickers in Walthamstow.

The Muslims Against Crusades member, who said he "embraced Islam" 11 months ago said: "Allah has told us alcohol, drugs, pornography, music and concerts are all forbidden under Islam.

"That is why it is our duty to go out and spread his word among Muslims and the wider community."

UN Watch to organize protest of North Korea’s presidency outside August session in Geneva

GENEVA — In advance of the expected announcement today by Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird that Ottawa will boycott a UN-sponsored conference on disarmament, UN Watch issued the following statement:

“UN Watch salutes Canada for being the first country to denounce North Korea’s outrageous presidency of the UN-sponsored Conference on Disarmament,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of the Geneva-based monitoring group which first reported the story.

“The UN has a great role to play in ending the scourge of war, but it cannot be credible on peace and security when it asks the foxes to guard the chickens,” said Neuer.

“We call on all 65 CD member states—especially major democracies like the US, France, Germany, UK, India, Japan, Italy, Australia, Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland—to register their strong protest,” said Neuer.

“It shouldn’t be business as usual when a ruthless dictator is allowed to chair what UN chief Ban Ki-moon recently called ‘the undisputed home of international arms control efforts.’”

UN Watch announced today that it will be organizing a protest outside the CD’s Geneva meeting in August, at the UN European headquarters, when North Korea will begin chairing the third part of the 2011 session.

“Our protest will call on the international community to rally around North Korean victims of the regime’s inhuman practices, instead of legitimizing the perpetrator,” said Neuer. UN Watch together with 25 other NGOs recently brought North Korean victim Guang-il Jung to testify in Geneva.

US Order To Shutdown Millions Of Christian Websites Shocks World

A shocking report authored by the office of Russia’s top religious leader Patriarch Kirill I states that this past week the United States ordered over 10 million Christian websites destroyed that they claimed were a “threat” to their National Security and that the American Internet giant Google quickly responded by making them all disappear.

According to this report, Google first came under assault from the US government in June when the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced that they had launched an investigation into the company, a move defended against by top Google executive Amit Singhal who aside from claiming the attacks against them were baseless said, “At Google, we’ve always focused on putting the user first.”

After weeks of unrelenting pressure upon them, however, this past week Google, which had refused to answer the baseless charges against them, caved to the US government and announced that their Chairman, Eric Schmidt, who had previously said the charges against them were nonsense, agreed to testify before a US Senate Committee under threat of subpoena.

On the very same day that Google caved into these US governments demands, this report continues, they then announced that they had blacklisted and banned over 11 million websites that had been registered for free through the co.cc subdomain the world over. Giving as its reason for this largest in history removal of private websites Google asserted that it had the right to pull the plug on sites if they “see a very large fraction of sites on a specific freehost be spammy or low-quality.”

Co.cc is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Cocos (Keeling) Islands, an Australian territory. It is administered by VeriSign through a subsidiary company eNIC, which promotes it for international registration as “the next .com”; .cc was originally assigned in October 1997 to eNIC Corporation of Seattle WA by the IANA.

Most important to note about the .cc domain, this report points out, is its being preferred by Churches and Christian organizations around the world as “CC” also happens to be an abbreviation for “Christian Church” or “Catholic Church,” especially in Islamic Nations where due to strict laws against Christianity these free co.cc websites were the only way those belonging to this faith were able to communicate with each other.

In this Patriarch Kirill I report as to the “true reason” for the US ordered government shutdown of millions of Christian websites in Islamic Nations it states is the “fundamental shift” undertaken by the Obama regime to support radical Muslim elements instead of the once secular Arab leaders it once did.

The most crucial US turnaround in this regard happened this past week, and as we can read, in part, as reported by the Front Page Magazine News Service:

“The Obama administration is set to begin formal contacts with the Muslim Brotherhood, a group dedicated in its own words to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within, and sabotaging its miserable house.”

This news came in a Reuters report Wednesday, quoting a “senior U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.” Why this official felt it necessary to speak on condition of anonymity is a mystery, given the fact that Barack Obama has never made a secret of his solicitude for the Muslim Brotherhood. Even though the Brotherhood was still outlawed in Egypt at that time, he made a point of inviting leaders of the group to attend his speech to the Islamic world in Cairo on June 4, 2009.

Not only that. Obama included the leader of a Muslim Brotherhood-linked group that had been named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case among the clerics giving a prayer during his inauguration ceremonies: Ingrid Mattson, then-president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), offered this prayer at the National Cathedral on Obama’s Inauguration Day – despite the fact that ISNA has admitted its ties to the Brotherhood. In fact, so overwhelming is the evidence of ISNA’s involvement with the Brotherhood and Hamas that the previous summer, federal prosecutors had rejected a request from ISNA to remove its unindicted co-conspirator status. Obama even sent his Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett to be the keynote speaker at ISNA’s national convention in 2009.”

This gravest danger posed by the US ordered destruction of these millions of Christian websites, this report continues, involves the estimated 20 million Coptic Christians now living in Egypt who, should the Muslim Brotherhood gain control, would face the removal from their homes of all of their children so they could be “educated” in Islamic schools as converts to the Muslim faith.

US author Brad O’Leary in his book “America’s War On Christianity” warns that no one should be surprised about these things as many US regimes, including Obama’s, have waged a decades long war against this faith in their attempt to eradicate it from all forms of public expression, even to outlawing school children from even mentioning the words “God,” “Bible,” or “Jesus Christ” under threat of imprisonment.

Even worse, shocking news is now coming from the United States that the Obama regime has ordered that the words “God Bless” and “Jesus Christ” cannot be used even when burying their military dead, and as we can read, in part, as reported by the Christian Post News Service:

“Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison is calling for an investigation into the actions of the Houston National Cemetery director who told pastors and veterans groups to stop using words like “God bless” and “Jesus Christ” during funeral services. Several veterans groups and pastors in the Houston area filed a religious discrimination lawsuit this week, charging that the cemetery’s director, Arleen Ocasio, was censoring prayers and certain religious terms at funerals for veterans.”

Most appalling of all of these things is the vast majority of the American people allowing their once cherished Christian values of home, family and morality to be continued to be stripped away from them with nary a protest as if they have completely forgotten that their religion would have never survived without the countless millions who martyred their lives, including Jesus, so their faith could survive.

To the horrific future lying in store for Christians living in America today should come as no surprise either as prior to his election as President, Obama stated in response to them, “…it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Forgotten by Obama is that those Americans who “cling to their guns and religion” are the exact people that made the Founders of the United States created their Nation for; and though they have survived much since their founding, their silence today as their Nation is allowed to be destroyed shows how truly weak they have become. And in that weakness lie the seeds of their own destruction, but which they are too ignorant of history to even see as their total destruction looms ever closer.

Former Czech PM sued over statements on Islam

Prague, July 7 (CTK) - Retired politician Milos Zeman, Czech prime minister in 1998-2002, faces a criminal complaint over the statements on Islam he made in June at an international conference on Europe.

"The enemy is the anti-civilisation spreading from North Africa to Indonesia. Two billion people live in it and it is financed partly from oil sales and partly from drug sales," Czech news servers quoted Zeman as saying about Islam at the recent conference.

Zeman said Thursday Muslims believe in the Koran like Nazis believed in racial supremacy and anti-semitism and communists in class struggle and dictatorship of the proletariat.

He said Islam is far more aggressive and intolerant than present Christianity, Buddhism, Confucianism and other world religions.

He added that the Koran includes passages calling for the subjugation, enslavement and even elimination of non-believers.

Zeman has been known for his strong statements.

Legal move against minaret ban thrown out

The European Court of Human Rights has rejected two appeals against a ban on the construction of new minarets in Switzerland.
Judges ruled that the plaintiffs – three Muslim organisations and a private citizen – were not victims of an alleged human rights violation.

The Strasbourg-based court on Friday announced that the complaints by the applicants were not admissible. “The main complaint was that a disputed constitutional provision offended their religious beliefs. However, they did not allege that it had had any practical effect on them,” the statement said. The applicants could not prove either that they were indirect victims because none of them was planning on building a mosque with a minaret in Switzerland in the near future, it added. The appeals were lodged in December 2009 following approval of a controversial rightwing initiative in a nationwide vote. A total of six complaints were filed - three of which are still pending. A majority of 57.5 per cent of Swiss voters came out in favour of the rightwing initiative in November 2009. Muslims, mostly from the former Yugoslavia and Turkey, make up about 4.5 per cent of the population in Switzerland. There are only four mosques with a minaret, besides the many Muslim prayer rooms in Switzerland. Observers point out that the political drive against new minarets is part of increasing opposition to immigrants.

In a video posted on YouTube earlier this year [see below], Salwa Al-Mutairi proclaimed that a sex slave trade would prevent Kuwait's Muslim men from extramarital sexual activity, explaining that a purchase transaction for a sex partner would be tantamount to marriage.

"We want our youth to be protected from adultery," she said.

Mutairi claimed that on a recent trip to Mecca, she spoke with several muftis, or Muslim religious scholars, who believe that there is a basis for the purchase of concubines in the shariah, or Islamic holy law.

She gave the example of Haroun al-Rashid, the third caliph or head of state of the Islamic Abbasid Empire, is rumored to have had some 2,000 concubines.

Appropriate candidates for the sex trade would be Muslim women from war-torn countries like Chechnya, Mutairi suggested.

England football team 'could be forced to wear EU flag'

Members of the European Parliament are backing calls to fly the EU's blue flag with yellow stars at sporting events, such as Wimbledon, held in its territory and, most controversially, to have the EU emblem on national team shirts.

The proposals, to be released next week, stipulate that all national sports teams, including football, rugby, cricket and the British Olympic team, would be forced to have the EU emblem appear on their jerseys.

The idea – dismissed by the Tories as "simply daft" – is contained in a report on "The European Dimension in Sport", drafted by Spanish centre-right MEP Santiago Fisas Ayxela which will be presented to the Parliament next week.

A European Commission source said the executive is keen to promote the 'European dimension' in sport and could bring forward the idea but only with full agreement with the competent national bodies.

The Lisbon Treaty gave the EU a competence over sport for the first time and the EU shirt emblem recommendation is Parliament's response to a Commission communication, or white paper, on sport.

The European Parliament's culture committee has already endorsed the plan. If, as expected, MEPs back the idea next week, the recommendation will go back to the Commission which will prepare formal legislative proposals.

The plan would then be put to a "qualified majority" vote in the Council of Ministers, which means it is possible the UK could be out voted on the measure, particularly by smaller countries that could benefit by a more "European approach" to tournaments like the Olympics.

EU culture commissioner Androulla Vassiliou, defends the proposal, saying, "The Commission is well aware of the crucial role played by sport as well as of the potential sport has for forging a sense of belonging. The successful Ryder Cup, where a European team competes under the European flag, constitutes an illustration of the benefits that a European dimension can bring to a sport."

Irish Socialist MEP Nessa Childers, said, "Sporting events have more potential to unite ordinary Europeans and instil a sense of pride in Europe than all the treaties, directives and regulations put together."

But Conservative MEP Emma McClarkin said, "Sport has a special place in the UK, and our national sport teams form a key part of our identities and heritage. The EU has no business interfering in the badges worn on national team shirts – it is just another clear example of the EU vanity project at work.

"The EU cannot impose an artificial European identity on us by forcing our athletes to wear its emblem. Can you imagine Wayne Rooney or Jessica Ennis walking out into the arena sporting an EU flag on their kit? It is simply daft and, needless to say, I will be opposing the plan when it is debated in the Parliament."

RUSSIAN OFFICIAL: “OBAMA IS A COMMUNIST KGB AGENT”

Moscow, Russia – A Russian government official bragged that Barack Obama was a KGB operative and that his presidency had been planned since birth, an American physicist and government contractor reports.

Tom Fife, an American computer networking specialist and international businessman, reported the alarming facts about the Kremlin’s connection to Barack Obama. The boast from a Communist Party official reportedly occurred during a business trip to Russia, 16 years before Barack Obama was ushered into the presidency of the United States.

“It was like an elastic band snapping all the way from 1992,” Fife shakily admitted, upon recall of the exact moment he realized the Communist official had been telling the truth. “It was a very, very scary feeling.”

Fife, a physicist and computer engineer, had been traveling to Russia for a joint venture with a state-owned company when the shocking revelation was revealed to him. After several business meetings, Fife and his partner were invited to the company owner’s home at the end of the journey for a farewell dinner.

The owner’s wife was a Communist Party official and was “climbing two ladders”, as Fife puts it, one ladder being the KGB and the other being the traditional Russian society and business ladder. As the evening wore on, the female Communist official became increasingly agitated over a perceived slight and her emotions spilled over.

“You Americans like to think you’re so perfect!” she snarled. “Well, what if I told you that very, very soon you’re going to have a black president… and he’s going to be a Communist!”

The KGB operative was not finished. As she had now dropped this bombshell on the entire gathering, she felt compelled to continue.

“His name is Barack,” she sneered. “His mother is white and his father is an African black. He has gone to the best schools, he is what you would call ‘Ivy League’.”

Fife recalls being stunned and shocked at the words flowing from the Communist’s mouth as she continued to rattle off an incredibly precise set of details about this Communist operative who was to supposedly become president of the United States.

The Communist official then stated that he was from Hawaii, but would very soon be elected to the Chicago state legislature. This has turned out to be an eerily prescient prediction, as Barack Obama was not elected State Senator until 1996, a full 4 years afterwards, as he took Alice Palmer’s seat.

In 1992, Obama had recently graduated from Harvard Law School and accepted a position as a Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School.

Perhaps the most shocking revelation is how deep the Soviet Communist network has embedded itself into American political and educational culture. A quick review of Obama’s political “career” shows a track that was inexplicably greased, from his tuition payments at Columbia and Harvard, to a position at UOC Law School, to his eventual electoral “victories” at the Illinois State Senate, United States Senate, and U.S. Presidency.

Barack Obama’s parents ostensibly met in a Russian language class. This could have been where his mother was recruited by Barack Obama Sr, who could have already been working undercover for the KGB.

In order to brainwash the child from an early age, they surrounded him with diehard Communists and fellow KGB agents, such as Frank Marshall Davis, a known Communist Party USA official. The Soviet KGB directly funded the CPUSA. This would fit directly into what the Russian Communist said about ‘Barack’, boasting “He has been raised to be an atheist and a communist.”

“He will be a blessing for world communism,” Fife recalled her saying, after getting over the initial shock of hearing the current president was a KGB agent.

The creepy prediction stayed with the physicist upon his return to the United States, although he paid it no mind until he began to hear of an swiftly rising political star named Barack Obama. When Fife learned that this same Barack was running in the 2008 presidential election, everything snapped into place and he knew he had to tell someone.

Today, Fife admits that it deeply disturbs him and that he has never been able to shake the ominous feeling of foreboding about what comes next, now that the KGB official’s prediction has come true.

“It never leaves you, having someone tell you that they’ve engineered the takeover of your country,” he admits. “It’s really quite scary.”
